Al-Quds University held a workshop on Industry and Market Needs Analysis on Feb. 12th 2023, as part of the Transfer Project. The project is aimed at developing a professional training program for startup capabilities and entrepreneurship in Palestine and Tunisia.
The workshop was attended by a group of enthusiastic students who were interested in learning about the startup industry and entrepreneurship. The workshop was conducted by AQU team who presented the results of the questionnaire, highlighting the need for a wide range of skills within the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation that are relevant to both the Palestinian and Tunisian markets.
According to the results, some of the most typical technical skills needed in both markets are programming skills in PYTHON and Java, skills related to mobile platforms (Android and IOS), as well as advanced technologies (Security and Big Data). It was emphasized that the field of innovation and entrepreneurship requires not only technical skills, but also business and soft skills.
The workshop provided students with valuable insights into the ICT industry and entrepreneurship. Students were able to learn about the market needs in Palestine and Tunisia and how they can develop their entrepreneurial skills to meet these needs.
The workshop was part of the university’s efforts to promote the E-Startup Academy project and to engage students in the development of the startup industry in Palestine and Tunisia. The project is expected to benefit students by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop successful startups.
The E-Startup Academy project is a multi-dimensional collaboration between consortium partners from Palestine, Tunisia and EU aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, innovation and startup capabilities through the development of a professional training program that meets the needs of the industry and the market in Palestine and Tunisia. The project seeks to equip students with a wide range of technical, business and soft skills necessary for success in the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship and innovation. By bringing together the expertise of the consortium partners, the project aims to contribute to the economic growth and development of Palestine and Tunisia, while also promoting cross-cultural exchange and cooperation.
